Hello, my name is Lisa and I am the director of OLVC. I have been involved in camp since 1980 as a camper, counsellor and Team leader. In 1997 I became an associate director and have been the camp director since 2002. I have a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Calgary, my Canadian Certificate of Youth Ministry Studies, a Certificate of Catholic Studies from Newman/Dayton and have attended the Canadian Camp Director’s Course. This spring I completed training from the Outdoor Council of Canada in order to train and certify Level One Hiking Leaders.
In addition to directing OLVC I have been a facilitator of the Called to Protect program for the Archdiocese of Edmonton since 2012. I am also the mother of 6 children! The community at camp has been a very important blessing in my life. I am grateful that OLVC continues to bring fun, faith and friendship to hundreds of young people each summer!
Cassy Dietrich Program Director
Hello, my name is Cassandra and I am the program director of OLVC. I have been involved at camp for 16 years as a camper, counsellor, floater, babysitter, cook, and Team member. I have my Canadian Certificate of Youth Ministry Studies, as well as a Certificate of Catholic Studies from Newman. I have completed training from the Outdoor Council of Canada in order to train and certify Level One Hiking Leaders. This fall I will be taking the Foundations in Faith Year 2 course from Newman, working for camp, and working for Universal Church Supplies in Edmonton.
OLVC has been a major part of my faith journey throughout my life and I am very excited for the opportunity to bring our youth and young adults to know and experience the love of Christ through our programming. I'm very excited to meet new people, as well as reconnect with returning campers and counselors. God Bless!
Natalie Administrative Assistant
My name is Natalie and I am the new Admin. Assistant at OLVC. Camp has been my second home since I was 10 years old and I appreciate the opportunity I have been given to spend more time participating in this ministry! I enjoy music of any kind, getting to spend time with people, answering questions, and my favorite place at camp is the amphitheatre. I will be helping keep camp organized and will be working closely with our volunteers. See you this summer!
