Program Coordinator
Do you want to help make a positive impact on a child’s life? If so Our Lady of Victory camp, located near Bentley, Alberta on the shore of Gull Lake, is hiring a Program Coordinator to help “Camps Change Lives”. The general responsibilities will include: furthering the mission of Christ Centered Catholic camping through the delivery of quality program activities and events; design and delivery of program activities that are safe, fun and appropriate to the participants’ age categories and abilities; and assisting in the management of the overall camp operations, including program staff and volunteers under the direction of the Coordinator of Youth Evangelization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or course work in Religious Studies, Theology, Education, Recreation, Physical Education or related degrees or Youth Ministry training or formal Faith Formation course work preferred; 3 or more years of previous camp experience and/or work with youth ministry programs. Current Standard First Aid and CPR qualifications. Other program related experience or certifications would be an asset. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; an ability to work well with children and possess an attitude of service. An appreciation of the Catholic faith and the nature of a Catholic camp and a demonstration of Christian values in interacting with children on a regular basis is a requirement. Some heavy lifting (20-40 lb.) may be necessary in performing some of the job duties.
Note: This is a temporary (4 month) seasonal position. There is only one Program Coordinator position available. Applicants should indicate in their cover letter if they also wish to be considered for a Summer Programmer position should they not be selected for the Program Coordinator position.

First Aid Attendant
Do you want to help make a positive impact on a child’s life? If so Our Lady of Victory Camp, located near Bentley, Alberta, on the shore of Gull Lake, is hiring a First Aid Attendant. Reporting to the Program Coordinator and the Coordinator of Youth Evangelization, the First Aid Attendant is responsible for administering the first aid program at the camp. Responsibilities will include delivering medication services, delivering first aid services, maintaining the first aid centre, collaborating with volunteers, and assisting other camp staff in their areas when necessary.
Qualifications:
Current Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR C as well as training in the delivery of medications appropriate to camp operations required. Some experience and/or exposure to organized camping and knowledge of summer camp programming and delivery is an asset. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; an ability to work well with children and possess an attitude of service. An appreciation of the Catholic faith and the nature of a Catholic camp, and demonstration of Christian values in interacting with children on a regular basis are required. RN/ LPN or RN/LPN nursing student preferred.
